中国IT外包公司曾一度被印度软件服务出口商视为日益上升的威胁，这些公司在私募股权投资公司的赞助下正逐渐退出美国证券交易所。这一势头使得迅猛发展的亚洲市场面临更加严峻的竞争。在过去的三个季度中，至少有5家中国IT服务公司，包括软通动力、文思海辉、亚信、柯莱特和宇信易诚，都对外宣称已接受私募股权投资公司如黑石提出的私有化建议。由于在美国上市的中国公司常面临企业管理混乱的指控，而这一指控会使公司价值受损，所以许多中国公司不得不走私有化的路线
